It will be held June 10 at the Luzerne County Fair Grounds off ; Route 118. the event will start at 11 a.m. until ? There will be new and used merchandise, toys, flow- ers, plants, Tiffany sile lamps, stain glass window, new 10-speed bike, and many other articles. There will be a knick knack stand, bake sale with homemade goodies, and a food stand with homemade pasties. The event will be under cover and will be held rain or shine. Bill Cutter receives Doctor of Musical Arts Bill Cutter, a former resident of Dallas, received his Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition at Commencement Exercises, Boston Mass. on Sunday, May 21. He also assists John Oliver with choral activities at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambr- idge. He is “teaching summer courses at Boston University and is Assistant Conductor of the Young Artists Choral Program at the Tanglewood Institute, the summer home of the Boston Symphony, Lenox, Mass. Bill is a member of “the Handel & Hayden Chorus and 'd the , Wintersauce Chorale, both professional choruses in Boston. He is also composer in residence for the Handel and Hayden Society and the Opera Lab in Boston. His . compositions«are - published by ‘Alfred Publishers, Sun Valley, California, Galaxy's Music Pub- lishers, and Lawson & Gould of New York City, New York. Cutter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sr Luzerne Avenue, Dallas. Finlay, Pearsall elected to bank board Alan J. Finlay and Richard L. Pearsall, both of Dallas, were re- cently elected to the Board of Di- rectors of Continental Bancorp, Inc. Finlay is president of Humford Equities, areal estate development and management firm with sub- stantial interest in Luzerne County. He is an associate of the Insurance Institute of Canada and a licensed realtor. Finlay serves on the Board of Directors of United Penn Bank, is Secretary of the Board of the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts and is past Director of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce. 3 Pearsall is a Wilkes-Barre area business consultant and is Presi- dent of Venture Associates Corpo- ration in Ocala, Florida. Tickets available for 'Market on the Pond’ raffle The Auxiliary of the Meadows Nursing Center, Dallas, recently announced that tickets are available for the raffle held as part of their annual “Market on the Pond” Flea Market. This event will be held on the grounds of the Center on June 17, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., raindate June 24. The handmade prizes shown above were donated by family, freinds, volunteers and staff at the center. Tickets can be obtained at the reception desk in the lobby or the day of the Flea Market. All proceeds benefit residents at the center.
