DENMON Staff Writer Michael Dzanko, senior at Dal- las Senior High School, has ac- cepted a four-year academic schol- arship at Juniata College, Hunt- ingdon, Pennsylvania. He was also awarded a four-week summer tour of Europe in which he and other students will participate in a Schol- ars’ Abroad Seminar. The tour will be supervised by members of Juniata's faculty and will provide an educational and enriching experience for the stu- ‘ dents. It also enables the students to earn college credits while tour- ing England, Holland, France and Belgium. An honor student at Dallas High School, Michael is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dzanko, Shaver- town. He has been a member of the Gifted Program, JETS Team, Fo- . Dzanko receives 4-year scholarship rensic Team, Senior Steering Committee, section editor for the school newspaper and an actor in the school’s drama presentations. Michael also was a member of the high school cross-country team and the varsity tennis team. He plans to pursue a career in the bio-chemistry field, going into research while at Juniata. He also plans to try out for the college cross country team. SCHOOL Eric Supey chosen Student Marshall Eric R. Supey, a Penn State senior from Trucksville majoring in environmental resource man- agement, has been selected as the student marshall for the College of Agriculture commencement this spring. The ceremony will be held Saturday, May 13, at 9 a.m. in Eisenhower Auditorium. Supey was chosen as marshall in recognition of his outstanding academic performance. He willlead the procession of graduating sen- jors at the commencement.
