Eighth graders Theresa Mathers and Tara Linslow were our other two start- ers. We have about 30 girls out for our team and our depth is too great for the other teams in the league. “We can substitute freely and wear down the other teams, who are usually much younger. In junior high, one year makes a big difference in a girl's maturity.” Knights coach Michele Medura was pleased with her team’s per- formance. She said the Dallas girls played a tough defense. “Our girls played with great enthusiasm and it was tough for them to lose such a key game,” Medura said. x Women's softball league seeks teams With Spring quickly approach- ing, the Tunkhannock Women's Softball League is making plans for its 1989 season.
