About 80 alumni, stu- dents and community friends were toasted at a champagne brunch in appreciation for their volunteer efforts in the college's recent An- nual Campaign phonathon. Al- though the college’s $1 million fundraising efforts won't be com- pleted until late June, this group has raised over $201,000 for sup- port of Misericordia’'s financial aid to students, alumni endowment, ‘the library and other operational requirements. Campaign Chairman Joseph Bradley, president of Golden Busi- ness Machines, other community business leaders and friends helped raise more than $108,000. Alumni raised over $92,000 under the leadership of Alumni Chair Karen Passarella Boback. Misericordia extended its No- Women of Kiwanis Host Guest Speaker The Dallas Women of Kiwanis recently had a guest speaker, Elaine Dougherty, skin care and glamour consultant. She conducted an informal question and discussion session which covered a broad range of techniques on application of glamour and nail care.
