RT SCHOOL The Dallas Post Dallas, PA Wednesday, November 23, 1988 9 a le i SL ke P® SR Junior High Council holds election In an effort to increase awareness of the presidential election, the Dallas Junior High School Student Council has sponsored Election ‘88 Activities this past month. Harold E. Taylor, Coordinator of Special Projects for Pennsylvania Gas and Water Company generously loaned two historical displays to the school. Mr. Taylor credited Paul Gates and Sidney Chesnic for their assistance in designing and creating these portable displays which commemo- rate the 56 signers of the Declara- tion of Independence and color portraits of the presidents of the United States from Washington through Reagan. These displays, originally created to honor the nation’s bicentennial, are a proud testament to our nation’s heritage. Student Council members and interested students have videotaped the Bush-Dukakis debates, held an Issues Facing America poster con- test, and have conducted a schoolwide presidential election. Other activities are planned through the inauguration of the newly-elected president.
