Koprowski, a 5-9, 170 pound hard charging runningback, was making his first collegiate start and re- sponded with 12 carries for 55-yards and a 20-yard touchdown run. He also grabbed a 16-yard. pass from the freshman quarterback Ed Dougherty for a game contribution of 71-yards and six points. “Mike was one of our top recruits for the program,” said Coach Frank Girardi, “He came in here, worked very hard, recovered from some in- juries and is now in a position to really make a contribution for the rest of our season. While his run- ning was a big factor in our Juniata victory, we are extremely happy about his blocking from the fullback position.” In our service Army Sgt. John E.
