Pugh is from Shavertown and plans to earn her bachelor’s degree in music therapy, while Mocarsky is from West Hazleton and plans to earn his degree in music education. Stephanie Kislow receives an MBA Lehigh University awarded ad- vanced degrees to 136 graduate students at the University’s 110th annual Founder's Day ceremonies on Sunday, Oct. 9. The students completed their degree requirements during the summer. Founder's Day has been cele- brated at Lehigh since the death of the University’s founder, Asa Packer, in 1879. Lehman-Jackson PTA holds first meeting of year The Lehman-Jackson PTA re- cently held its first general meeting of the school year. Entitled “Intro- duction to Your PTA and School,” the meeting included a description of the various programs to be held during the year and an introdiction of teachers. The meeting was highlighted by a performance of the 5th grade stu- dents. Under the direction of Mrs. Jeanne Purcell, music teacher, the students sang and danced a special presentation of “Tall Tales and He- roes.” More than 400 people attended this event. Wyoming Seminary School elects Cum Laude Society Wyoming Seminary College Pre- paratory School, Kingston, recently elected nine students into the Cum Laude Society during ceremonies conducted before the student body in the Harold C.
