Service notes Marc Elgaway appointed a vice-president at C- TEC Marc C. Elgaway has been named vice-president of the Mobile Serv- ices Group of C-TEC Corporation. William L. Moyer, executive vice- president and chief operating officer for C-TEC, said Elgaway now has full responsibility for overseeing the activities of Cellular Plus - Com- monwealth Mobile Services. Before his promotion, Elgaway was general manager of Common- wealth Communications, Inc., a C- TEC subsidiary based in Kingston, Pa. Since joining C-TEC in 1983, he has also served as senior manager of the Consulting and Engineering Division of C-TEC Communications and as senior manager of Market Development for the Corporation. Prior to joining C-TEC, Elgaway was a market analyst and senior financial analyst for W.R. Grace, New York. He also served in the United States Army Engineers as a platoon leader, staff officer and company commander. Andrew Merrill is named National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist Two senior students at Wyoming Seminary College Preparatory School, Kingston, have recently been notified that they have been named semi- finalists in the 1989 National Merit Scholarship Competition. In addition to their National Merit performance these Dean's List students are also active in numerous school and community activities. Both received numerous honors and awards during their junior years at Seminary. Merrill was the " recipient of the Rensselaer Mathematics and Science Award, finished first in the JETS (Junior Engineering Technical Society) regional competition in Computer Fundamentals and was the second place award winner in the Luzerne County Marc C. Dr. Nestor Garcia joins Wilkes- Barre General Hospital staff Nestor T. Garcia, M.D., recently joined Wilkes-Barre General Hospital's Department of Labora- tory Medicine after completing his five-year residency in anatomical and clinical pathology at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and Hartford Hospital in Hartford, Con- necticut. Garcia received his B.S. degree in 1969 and his medical degreein 1973 from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, as well as com- pleted a three-year anatomic pa- thology residency from the same university.
