Wroblewski, 54 of 46 Garbutt Ave., Dallas, died Aug. 24, 1988 at the Veterans Admini- stration Medical Center, Plains Township, following a lengthy ill- ness. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Police report Six hurt in 5 car crash Six persons were injured in a five ‘vehicle accident that occurred Sat- urday, Aug. 27, on Route 309 near the Pizza Bar in Trucksville. Gordon W. Reese, 73, of Holiday Drive, Kingston, was driving south on Route 309 when he apparently blacked out and the Oldsmobile he was driving hit a van and three cars traveling in front of him. Reese and his wife, Elizabeth, were transported to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital where Reese was treated and admitted. His wife was treated and released. Samuel Lom- bardo Jr., 27, Broad Street, Pitts- ton, driver of the van and his passenger Amber Laber, 26, Mea- dowcrest, Trucksville, were also treated and released at Wilkes- Barre General Hospital. Samuel Pape, 81, Birch Hill Lane, Dallas, and Bernadine Pape, 62, of the same address were treated and released from Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kingston. Two other drivers in the accident Martin L. Arledge, Jr., Wyoming Avenue, Wilkes-Barre and Frank Kiwak, 41, N. Loveland Ave., Kingston, escaped injury. Investigating officers Robert Weiss and Sgt. Balavage. 3 injured in accident Three teenagers were injured in a vehicle accident Saturday about 9 p.m. on Route 309 near Center Street, Shavertown. Michael Kelly, 16, South Main Street, Plains, was traveling north on Route 309 when his vehicle was struck by a south- bound vehicle driven by Albert Breymeier, Hickory Road, Dallas, according to police. Breymeier was attempting to turn left on to Center Street. Kelly and two passengers in his car, Bernard Yashkus, Maple Street, Plains and Daniel Heller, Bowman Street, Wilkes-Barre were treated and released from Nesbitt Memorial Hospital. Both passen- gers were 16 years of age. Hit and run accident A hit and run accident occurred August 26 at the intersection of Huntsville Road and Parrish Street, Dallas. Robert Allardyce, 13 Dallas Vil- lage, Dallas, told. police he was traveling east on Huntsville Road, when a red vehicle traveling west crossed into the oncoming lane and struck Allardyce’s vehicle which left 83 feet of skidmarks from the left side tire before impact. Witness James Davis of Dallas stated that the hit and run vehicle was an early 1970s red Cadillac traveling at a high rate of speed. He stated that the Cadillac crossed over into the opposite lane and after the impact did not stop but was last seen traveling west on Huntsville Road. Passengers in the Allardyce vehi- cle were Pamela Allardyce, Erin Allardyce and Kristen Allardyce. An alert was issued to the Luz- erne County Police Radio Center. Investigating officers were James Martin and Robert Jolley. 2 car crash in Dallas A two car accident occurred on Route 309 near the entrance to Stapinski Drug Store on August 24. Stephen Halowich, 3780 West 214 Street, Fairview Park, Ohio told police that he was traveling south on Route 309 when he attempted to make a right hand turn into the Dallas Village Shopping Center. Halowich said when he made the turn his vehicle started to slide on gravel on the berm of the road and he applied his brakes trying to stop but his vehicle slid and struck a vehicle waiting to make an exit from the shopping center.
