Mark B. Wiener was a resident of Trucksville until his death in 1987, from Bone Cancer. At the ‘time of his death, Mark was serving as Public Relations Director for the Committee for Economic Growth (C.E.G.). As Public Relations Di- rector, Mark brought much needed Pick Your Own recognition to our area through the production of a special video en- titled “Greater Wilkes-Barre, You Should See Us Now.” Mr. Wiener played a major role in having Money Magazine rank our region as the “Ninth best place in the United States to live.” He was held in high esteem by his colleagues for his efforts to spur the economic recov- ery of our region. A graduate of Dallas High School, Mr. Wiener received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and English, graduating with honors from Juniata College in 1979.
