The award winning Irem Temple Chanters will present their annual summer concert on Sunday, July 31 on the Pavilion at the Irem Temple Country Club, Dallas. The event will begin at 7:45 p.m. with a vesper service led by the - Rev. Jeanette Rapp-Smith. Guest soloist will be Lois Hanni- gan who will play several selec- tions on the Marimba. The second production of the 1988 season for Shawnee Playhouse is “Grease.” It opens July 29 and will run through September 5 with mati- nee or evening performances scheduled daily except Mondays. Written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, the musical por- trays, through music and dance, the life and activities of high school students at fictitious Rydell High during the 50’s.
