Parente heads King’s board The new chairman of the King’s College Board of Directors was elected for the 1988-89 year at a recent board meeting held on campus. Charles E. Parente of Harveys Lake will serve as chairman. President and chief executive officer of C-TEC, Parente is an equity partner and a certified public accountant. He is also an owner of Newberry Estates in Dallas. He serves on the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and St. Joseph’s Center Foundation board of direc- tors and was awarded the Distin- guished Pennsylvania Award by the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of governing boards at Wyoming Sem- inary and College Misericordia. Parente holds a Bachelor's Degree from King’s College, where he was graduated Cum Laude in 1962. He and his wife, Mary, have four children, Brian, John, Charles and Marla.
