Denmon) The Jackson Township General Municipal Authority held its monthly meeting Monday night, and discussed a PENNVEST loan it will receive for $985,505. The loan will be used to help finance a $3 million sewer project for the town- ship. Jackson Township is one of many communities in Pennsylvania that will benefit from low interest loans approved by the Pennsyl- vania Infrastructure Investment Authority Board (PENNVEST). Jackson Township also has a $2,045,077 grant from EPA for the sewer project. It must award a contract to the lowest bidder by June 26 in order to keep the grant. There was discussion at the . meeting as to who was legally the lowest bidder. UMAX, of Ringoes, N.J., the original lowest bidder, months old. It was picked up as a stray in Pittston.
