Norris said he was at the Dallas Township police station when the call came in about an accident on Route 415. It was reported that a vehicle had hit a telephone pole and the power lines were down. The vehicle was on fire causing it to be smoky in the area. Dallas Township, Dallas Borough and Jackson Township cruisers responded to the call. As they approached the scene, the first two officers applied the brakes in their cruisers in order to avoid the downed power lines. Norris was driving the third cruiser and said he was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting the rear of the Dallas Bor- ough cruiser. Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the accident.
