Soccer oorts film to be shown Outdoor film producer, George Klucky of Concord, New Hampshire, will be the guest speaker on Thursday, March 24, at the Lake-Lehman Senior High School with his full color hunting, fishing and wild- life films featuring outdoor ac- tion that will appeal to sporting enthusiasts of every persuasion. Sportsmen are moved by the element of suspense and sur- prise in Klucky’s Wilderness Films, but because the impos- ing beauty of the wild never escapes Klucky’s keen, discern- ing eye, his films are enjoyed by nature lovers as well. DENMON Staff Writer las High School girls soft- 11 coach, Jay Pope says he has a young team this season with only three seniors, Jill Urbanis, catcher; Joyce Tin- ner, shortstop; and Christine Legenz, third base; Urbanas and Tinner are co-captains of the team. Other than that, Pope says it is too early to determine what type of team he will field this season with the exception that he has a strong pitching staff. __ “Juniors Tracy Hunter, Lori gave and sophomore Laura ‘Poynton are expected to do a good job on the mound,” Pope said. Coach Pope has eight juniors, 10 sophomores and two fresh- men on this season’s team with few of them having any varsity experience. Juniors are Holly Bachman, infield; Hunter, pitcher, out- field; Julianne Orlowski, first base; Dena Rebennack, second base; Wendy Stritzinger, out- field; Randi Harvey, second base; Patty Reed, first base; and Lori Cave, pitcher, out- field. Sophomores are Poynton, pitcher, outfield; Wendy Hoz- empa, second base, outfield; Brenda Love, first base; Bren- {@ Olsen, outfield; Erica Bul- lock, outfield; Amy Burgerhoff, infield; - Kim Kaleta, infield; Terry Bartleson, second base, third base; Lynn Bednar, first base; Stephanie Andrasko, out- field. The two freshmen Molly Con- nolly, outfielder and Melanie Langdon, catcher and first baseman. Managers are Tracey Mi- chael, Tracy Shelly and Amy Chamberlain. Pope is pleased with the hard work the candidates are doing in practice and is hoping to have a better knowledge of how competitive the Dallas team will be in another week or two. With a team so young and inexperienced he says it takes a greater length of time and effort to select a first team. Club parents will offer refresh- ments and baked goods, and conduct a raffle. For those interested in rent- ing space, areas available are 8 foot squares or corners.
