Fooe pas Vins the future.” This statement was made by Edward Hobbs, age 41, of 8 Depew St., Pittston, Pa. as he announced that he will be a candidate in the April Primary election for a seat on the Demo- cratic State Committee. Ed is a lifelong resident of Pittston. he is employed as a retail store manager and is a licensed insurance salesman. He graduated from St. Mary’s Assumption grade school, and from Pittston High School. He also attended Luzerne County Community College. Hobbs has been active in civic affairs in the area for many years. He served as co-chairman of the first Pittston Tomato Festival, was a member of the Hughes- town Lions Club, served as an officer in the Central Pittston Neighborhood Association sev- eral terms, and was the former Judge of Election in Pittston’s Sixth Ward, Second District. Hobbs has also taken an active role in Pittston City and Luz- erne County politics for many years. Hobbs is married to the former Dawn Endres, R.N., of West Avoca. She was impressed with the blue, water and white sand that was so clean, topped by very warm water to swim. There was so much to see tourist wise that very early rises were made in order to see as much as possible in a short time.
