Only yesterday
50 Years Ago - Feb. 25, 1938
This week the owner of the
Dallas Post encountered for the
first time the man who helped
print the first issue. He is
Joseph Bulford of Trucksville
who operated the hand press
upon which No. 1, Vo. 1 of The
Dallas Post was printed in 1889.
Mr. Bulford was about 14 years
old when he helped print the
first Dallas Post.
Center Hill Road, which div-
ides Dallas Borough and Dallas
Township has been the center of
controversy since it was born at
the end of the bloody Yankee-
Pennamite War.
Lehman Cagers need a victory
tonight to clinch the Rural
League championship.

lost the third key man in six
months with the death of
Charles James, secondary,
school administrator. Raymond
Kuhnert, principal, and Harry
Ohlman, school board president,
preceeded James in death.

Interviewers will begin knocking on the doors of 500 Pennsylvania
farmers next week for the fourth-annual Farm Costs and Returns
The major, nationwide survey of costs of production and financial
conditions throughout the farm sector is conducted by the state
offices of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, a branch of
the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
