Flick, RD 1, Dallas, recently returned from a five and one-half month deployment to the western Pacific and Indian Ocean aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger, homeported in San Diego. The deployment ended the USS Ranger’s 18th deployment to the Western Pacific where Pinder participated in support- ing U.S. Navy operations. He also visited the Subic Bay, Republic of the Philippines; Sin- gapore; Hong Kong; and Pat- taya Beach, Thailand. He joined the Navy in July 1985. (570) and M. Delaney added 530. Community College lists honors Approximately 460 students have earned recognition for out- standing academic achievement during the 1987 Fall semester of study at Luzerne County Com- munity College. In making he announcement, Thomas P. Leary, associate dean of admissions and student services, noted that 76 students attained the distinction of being listed on the President’s Honor Roll.
