Bostock, of 177 Bunker Hill Road, Wyoming, died July 5 at his home after a short illness. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was employed by the Bechtel Corpora- tion for a number of years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of St. Therese’s Roman Catholic Church, Shaver- town, and its Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 542. Surviving are his wife, the former Jean M. Rees; son, William J. Wyoming; three grandchildren. Wanda Jones Mrs. Wanda Jones, 70, of Village road, Orange, died July 5 in the Nesbitt Memorial Hospital, Kings- ton, after being stricken earlier at her home. Born in West Pittston, she had resided in Orange for the past 12 years. Prior to that time, shr esided on Pettebone Street, Forty Fort. She was a member of the Dorran- ceton United Methodist Church, Kingston; Irem Temple Chanters Auxiliary, the Wyoming Monument Historical Society and the Garden Club of Wilkes-Barre. Surviving are her husband, Donald R.; sister, Margaret Risch, Orange; several nieces and neph- ews. A Noxen man escaped serious injury early Friday morning after the car he was driving went down an embankment and burst into flames in Dallas township. According to reports, David P. Weber, RD 1, Box 145, Noxen, was traveling north on Rt. 309 when he crossed the intersection at Wood- lawn avenue, crossed the center lane into the south bound lane, and went off the berm of the road over a 75 foot embankment. The vehicle caught fire in the engine compart- ment and spread to the rest of the front end. Police said Weber was out of his 1976 Toyota Celica when they arrived and was not seriously hurt. Weber said he fell asleep and didn’t recall what happened. -0- No persons were injured in a two- car crash that took place on Rt. 309 at the Sago Street intersection in Dallas Township. Police reports indicate that Ste- phen R. Finn, Alderson Road, RD 2, Harveys Lake, was pulling out of Sago Street, north, onto Rt. 309 where he did not see a car driven by Barbara A. Scavone, 17 Hillcrest Dr, New Goss Manor, traveling south. Scavone said she could see Finn’s 1981 Dodge Sedan coming out of Sago Street and blew her horn, but was unable to avoid striking the Finn vehicle.
