} 10 Sports Senior Olympics are slated The 10th Annual Senior Citizens Olympics will be held on Saturday, May 10 at College Misericordia, Dallas. The program is co-spon- sored by the Luzerne-Wyoming County Bureau of Aging and College Misericordia. Individuals 60 years of older, in good health and members of a senior citizens center, club or orga- nization in Luzerne or Wyoming counties are invited to attend the olympics as a participant or specta- tor. Registration forms can be obtained from local centers or orga- nizations. From 10 a.m. to noon, a bowling competition will take place at Chacko’s West Lanes, Luzerne, and Chacko’s East Lanes, Wilkes-Barre. The remaining events, which include bocci ball, bicycling, soft- ball throw, a mile walking race, basketball free throw and horse- shoes will be held at the Dallas campus from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be separate competi- tions for men and women, except in team bowling and team bocci ball. Additional activities include health screenings, non-competitive games, music and dancing. Lee Vincent and His Orchestra will perform at 1:30 p.m. The orchestra’s appearance is made possible through the Music Performance Trust Funds, a public service organization of the Ameri- can Federation of Musicians.
