Band concert set Dallas man uninjured Last week’s sudden snowstorm caused a Dallas man to lose control of his vehicle early Wednesday morning when his jeep flipped over on Lower Demunds Road. Frank Paul Ondish, 182 Valley view Park, Dallas, was traveling south on Lower Demunds Road when he hit an icy patch on the road, causing his vehicle to cross both lanes while flipping over before coming to rest on the drivers side. He was not seriously injured. -0- A Dallas woman escaped injury early Wednesday morning when the car she was operating skidded out of control due to icy road conditions on Lake Street. Vivian D. Ondish, RD 5, Country Coub Road, Box 71F, Dallas, ‘was traveling south on Lake Street when her 1986 Chrysler skidded across the north bound lane sideways before hitting a telephone poll. She was not injured. Camp named LCCC dean Dr. William Camp, a resident of Dallas and chairperson of the his- tory and social science department at Luzerne County Community Col- lege, has been appointed associate dean of academic services at the community cellege. College president Thomas J. Moran announced that Dr. Camp will assume his new responsibilities on July 1 of this year. Dr. Camp, who began teaching at LCCC in 1968, has served as chair- person of the history and social science department since 1971. As chairperson his duties include coor- dinating curricula, recruiting stu- dents, interviewing and hiring fac- ulty, class scheduling, faculty evaluation, budget planning, super- vision f the department’s full and part-time faculty, and development of innovative courses. Also while at the community col- lege, Dr. Camp has served as chair- person of the Admissions and Aca- demic Standards Committee from 1972-74, a member of the Presiden- tial Search Committee in 1974, and is presently co-chairing the college’s Committee on Academic Excel- lence. McCarthy, owner of Community Buick in Kingston, upon his retirement after 46 years with Community Buick. Mr. Rollman was assistant Serv- ice Manager at the Wilkes-Barre Outlet before the new building was built on Market St. He attended General Motors Service School in Flint, Michigan in 1949. He and his wife the former Betty Sokol hope to do some traveling with their children, Nancy and Ronald Rollman. Mr. Rollman is active with the Holy Name Society at Gate of HeavenChurch in Dallas, and also the J.R. Davis Fire Co. in Dallas.
