This will be the second cleanup program provided for the residents of the township this year. The pro- gram will operate in the same fashion as the Spring Clean-Up Pro- gram held in May. Residents of Kingston Township will be afforded the opportunity to bring permitted clean-up items to the Township Maintenance Building located on East Center Street, Shav- ertown. Clean-up items should be placed in the two dumpsters which will be located at the site. The gates to the Maintenance Building will be opened Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to noon. There will be no permitted depositing of clean-up items on Sunday, Sept. 29. Only Kingston Township residents will be permit- ted to participate in this program: proof of residency will be required. Items not permitted will be: Washers, dryers, refrigerators, tele- vision sets, hot water heaters, boil- ers, furnaces, stoves, or large appli- ances. No tree stumps, concrete, rock, or household garbage. Please clip this notice for your reference at a later date. The National Arbor Day Founda- tion is giving 10 free shade trees to people who become Foundation members during September, 1985. The fall trees are part of the Foundation’s effort to promote fall tree planting throughout America. A Sugar Maple, Weeping Willow, Red Oak, Green Ash, Thornless Honeylocust, Pine Oak, Silver Maple, Tuliptree, European Moun- tainash, and Red Maple tree will be given to members joining during September. The six to 12 inch trees will be shipped this fall at the right time for planting between Oct. 15 and Dec. 10. They will be sent postage paid with enclosed planting instructions. These trees were selected because they provide shade and beauty and a variety of forms, leaf shapes, and i BNI fall colors, according to John Rosenow, the Foundation’s execu- tive director. They are guaranteed to grow, or they will be replaced free of charge. The National Arbor Day Founda- tion, a nonprofit organization, is working to improve the quality of life throughout the country by encouraging tree planting. The Foundation will give the 10 free trees to members contributing $10 during September. To become a member of the Foundation and to receive the free trees, a $10 membership contribu- tion should be send to SHADE TREES, National Arbor Day Foun- dation, 100 Arbor Avenue, Nebraska City, NE 68410, by September 30, 1985. - 1 Dallas Post/Ed Campbell Fun at the Fall Fair Pulling a load Fair.
