Some 9,700 Pennsylvanians who
were affected by a recent court
decision will receive a second notifi-
cation from the Social Security
Administration explaining that deci-
sion within the next few days.
Under the court decision (Frank
Kuehner, et al. v. Heckler), persons
whose disability benefits were
stopped under the Social Security or
Supplemental Security Income pro-
grams on or after June 1, 1976,
because they were found to be no
longer disabled, may request a new
review of their claims as well as
benefit reinstatement.
A second notice is being sent by
certified mail to all affected class
members because a few hundred of
those previously notified received
incorrect notices because of a print-
ing error. Those notices contained
information not related to the Penn-
sylvania ruling.
Everyone receiving the new
notice will have 120 days from the
date of the second notice to request
a new review of their claim and
reinstatement of benefits. Affected
class members who have already
contacted a Social Security office
after getting the first notice and
requested a new review will not

have to contact Social Security
again.
Pennsylvanians who believe they
are affected by the court decision
and have not contacted a Social
Security office should do so immedi-
ately. Additional information is also
available by contacting the attor-
neys representing all class mem-
bers. They may be readed by call-
ing the Law Coordination Center in
Lancaster and asking for the Com-
munity Legal Services. The toll-free
number is 1-800-732-3545.
