Mark TI Family Restaurant, located on Memorial Highway in
Dallas, is! in its 11th year of serving the Back Mountain. Mark II
Family Restaurants, Inc., owned and operated by Marilyn and
Bernard Sult of Shavertown, also maintains restaurants in Wilkes:
Barre and Moosic.
Just one year ago, Mark II was completely remodeled. Geared for
family dining, Mark II opens at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast. The Early
Bird Special is a favorite morning choice. Weekends, a hot breakfast
buffet and fresh fruit bar are featured.
In September, Mark II added gourmet burgers to its list of char-
broiled foods. This six ounce beef patty served on a hard roll with a
desired topping makes a delicious lunch. |
In addition to a variety of dinner specials, dinner buffets are
offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 4 to 9 p.m.
Friday’s Seafood Buffet includes a variety of fish, fresh, cold shrimp
and a delicious seafood Newburg prepared by Mrs. Sult. Every
Tuesday and Friday, fresh pink shrimp is offered with the salad
uffet.
Like its predecssor, Forty Fort Dairy, Mark II is known for its
tempting ice cream creations. The new solarium provides an
attractive indoor setting in which to enjoy Twin Kiss soft ice cream
year round. Homemade cream pies are another popular dessert at
Mark II.
For the little ones, a child’s menu is available that is sure to please.
Birthdays are celebrated with a free birthday Sundae for children of
all ages. A counter makes it easy to eat a quick meal when you are in
a hurry. For private parties, the Terrace Room provides most
pleasant surroundings.
