The Volunteer Services Program is an. important component of patient care at the hospital. Nesbitt Memorial Hospital’s volunteers pro- vide many services that supplement the basic essential functions of the professional staff adding to the quality care provide: to area resi- dents. The Inpatient Accounts Depart- ment is looking for volunteers to do light paperwork, typing and filing. Morning and afternoon shifts are available, Monday through Friday. The Dietary Dejpartment needs volunteers to serve: as cashiers in the hospital’s cafefteria. The depart- ment has openings each weekday morning from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Volunteers are needed in the Radiology Department for light paperwork, filing, and patient trans- port. There are openings each week- day morning frory 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Volunteers to do typing, filing, and other lighf. paperwork are needed in the JFPurchasing Depart- ment, morning, or afternoon, on Wednesday and friday. There is an opening in the Phar- macy Department on Wednesday mornings. Volunteer duties in Phar- macy include deliveries, light paperwork and filing. The Physical Therapy Depart- ment needs volunteers to assist with patient transport. Volunteers must be physically able and coordinated. Openings in the Physical Therapy Department are Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Lower Level Information Desk is looking for volunteers to provide patients with directions to the hospital’s outpatient services. Monday and Friday afternoons are open. Volunteers are needed in the Car- diac Rehabilitation Department to assist with patient support, blood pressure readings, and calisthenics. Volunteers must be physically able and very reliable. Openings in the department are Monday and Tues- day mornings. There are many openings in sev- eral of the hospital’s nursing units.
