Pintos took three from the Corvettes
who also divided equally with the

blanked SCID but men on neither
team were able to hit high scores.
In a previous match, Harris Asso-
ciates took all from SCID, Gino’s
Shoe Store earned three from Fino’s
Pharmacy and Steele’s Restaurant
copped three from Katyl TV. High

Last week the Ladies Country
League was surprised by a visit
from the Kissing Bandit, who came
with a huge silver balloon in honor
of Kay Scavone’s birthday.
Olympics set
Shawnee Mountain and Shawnee Village have been
chose as the site for the 1985 Pennsylvania Special
Olympics Winter Games.
The resort, located in the Pocono Mountains has
hosted the games for 7 years and is pleased the event
is returning for the 8th year on March 5-8.
The games are held for special athletes who
participate in skiing and ice skating including events
such as slalom, giant slalom, cross-country skiing,
figure skating.
A gala Opening Ceremonies Celebration is scheduled
for the evening of March 5 at Shawnee Mountain, to
include a torchlight parade down the mountain,
ceremonial lighting of the Olympic torch and spectac-
ular fireworks display.
The competition will take place all day March 6 and
7 and the morning of March 8 - ending with the
‘awarding of medals and the closing ceremonies.
PM Magazine at Camelback
WNEP-TV-16’s PM Magazine will be at Camelback,
Saturday, March 2, for the PM Magazine-Dr. Pepper
Cup. The cup is part of the Pro Am Circuit to
determine the world’s best skiers in top ski resorts.
Local celebrities, and from surround states such as
N.Y. and N.J., will be racing in the afternoon. Last
year’s winner and top-ranked skier, Hans Ulibosch, of
Austria, will be returning to race in the circuit.
The qualifying will start Friday, March 1 through
Saturday, March 2. Final qualifications for the Profes-
sional race will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, the race will
immediately follow the final qualifications. The ama-
teur race will egin at 2 p.m.
10 K RACES
Across the United States, hundreds of thousands of
people will be walking, jogging, and running their way
to better health during The National 10-K Month, May,
1985.
The first annual National 10-K is sponsored by the
National Association for Sport and Physical education
and the student section of the Pennsylvania State
Association for Health, Physical Education, Recrea-
tion and Dance.
Races will be conducted in hundreds of communities
across the country and in cities and towns throughout
Pennsylvania in celebration of the first annual
National 10-K Month.
The National Association for Sport and Physical
Education, a non-profit educational association within
the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education,
Recreation and Dance (founded in 1985), is dedicated
to people through the promotion of programs like The
National 10-K.

Back Mountain Youth Basketball Organization Philly
Shoot-Out Contest.
Gauntlett was a runner-up in the sixth and seventh
grade division while Medura won the championship
trophy with 25 points.
A cash prize will be awarded to the first place
winner in the Professional race. Trophies will be
awarded in both the Professional and Amateur races.
