A mock election was held at the Dallas Intermediate School yester- day in conjunction with the nation- wide General Election. The students cast their votes using a school computer which was programmed by Jeff Dover, a student, and Joseph Sallitt, a teacher. The com- puter was used to tally votes for each candidate and to give totals that indicate preferences by gender and grade level. The suggestion for the building- wide election was made by Willy Whitesell and Eric Paczewski, both students, as a result of their Social Studies current event program. Adding to the interest in voting was a living facsimile of Ronald Reagan in the name of Dave Jones, a teacher at the school. Results of the election will be announced in the November 14 issue of The Dallas Post.
