Dallas officers vice-president. One hundred and fifty two gradu- ates will be presented with their high school diplomas during the 1984 commencement exercises at Lake- Lehman High. School on Saturday, June 9. The class members, 74 boys and 78 girls, will receive their diplomas from Joseph ‘Red’ Jones, presi- dent of the Lake-Lehman Board of Directors, during ceremonies sched- uled for 2 p.m. at the Edward E. Edwards Football Stadium, located at the Lake-Lehman High School Complex. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be moved inside to the high school gymnasium. This year’s commencement cere- monies will begin with a prelude by the award-winning Lake-Lehman Band under the direction of John Miliauskas. The band will continue with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance” as the members of the 1984 graduating class take their seats. Reverend Theodore M. Marcinko, chaplain of the Mercy Center Con- vent, will offer invocation and Joan Skopic, president of the senior class, will offer greetings and welcome the guests. The Lake-Lehman Chorus, under the direction of Jane Morris, will offer a few selections prior to the Baccalaureate-Commencement Address which will be offered by Rev. James Pall, associate pastor Rev. James Pall, associate pastor of the Forty Fort United Methodist Church, will deliver the commence- ment address to the 1984 graduating class at Lake-Lehman High School. Commencement exercises are scheduled for Saturday, June 9; ‘at 2 Football Stadium on the Lake- Lehman High School Complex. Rev. Pall, a 1969 graduate of ATATA AT A Lehman officers Lake-.ehman High School, served as the drum major for the Lake- Lehman Marching Band for several years. Having served at the Wyalusing United Methodist’ Charge for three and a half years, Rev. Pall has been since February of 1983. He and his wife, Susan, live in Forty Fort. a Dallas Post/Ed Campbell of the Forty Fort United Methodist Church. Raymond Iwanowski, class vale- dictorian, and Deborah Haefele, class salutatorian, will deliver com- mencement addresses after which Susan Bonsavage and Suzanne Sabaluski, co-presidents of the Lake-Lehman Student Council, will offer remarks. Awards will be presented to mem- bers of the graduating class by John J. Oliver, junior high school princi- pal; Anthony Marchakitus, assistant to the superintendent; Charles C. James, elementary principal; and Robert S. Kunkle, elementary prin- cipal. Dr. M. David Preston, super- intendent of the Dallas School Dis- trict, will present the Class of 1984 as Joseph Jones awards each gradu- ate his or her diploma. Robert O. Roberts, senior class advisor will call the seniors’ names. John M. Zaleskas, high school principal will offer a farewell address and Rev. Marcinko will deliver benediction. The Lake- Lehman Band will conduct the recessional. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved indoors to the Junior High School Auditorium. The Dallas Senior High School Band, under the direction of David Benn, will lead the affair with the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance” as the 1984 graduating class enters the stadium. Pastor Lynn H. Rothrock will offer invocation while Joseph F. O'Donnell, president of the Dallas Board of Education, will offer greetings. . Daniel M. Poorman, junior-senior high school princi- pal, will introduce Dr. Richard Shipe, superintendent ‘Honor students Kay St. Clair, Pam Lundberg and Lori Del Gaudio Mark Drasnin. Area students participate in public service | Mark Rosing of Dallas and Raymnd Iwanowski of Lake- Lehman recently participated in the “Best of the Class” salute, a public service announcement program sponsored by General Motors Corpo- ration and WBRE-TV Channel 28. Both Rosing and Iwanowski will be featured in public service announcements on WBRE-TV which will: help to illustrate that young people can serve as role models just as effectively as adults and celebri- ties. “Best of the Class” spotlights outstanding students from over 70 high schools in Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. The students will be featured in 30-second public service announcements which will air on WBRE-TV throughout June and July. The students involved with the “Best of the Class’ program met last Friday at Rocky Glen Park in Moosic for the taping session. Fol- lowing the taping, the students met members of the Eyewitness News team, representatives of the print media and representatives of the General Motors Corporation. Rocky Glenn Park provided lunch for the group. Rosing and Iwanowski, who are both scheduled to graduate from their respective high schools this week, were selected for the “Best of the Class” program because of their $ to graduate of the .Dallas School District, who will offer his remarks. The Dallas Mixed Chorus, directed by Mrs. Florence Hughes Sherwood will offer several songs, followed by Cristi Anne Strauser, senior class president, who will present her remarks. Mark Rosing and Kimberly Dougherty, 1984 co-valdeictorians, will then offer their commencement addresses. 2 Followed by another selection by the Mixed Chorus, Mr. Poorman will present the members of the Class of 1984 while Mr. O’Donnell will award diplomas. The entire assembly will then join in the singing of the Dallas High School Alma Mater. Rev.
