Dalessandro and Luzerne County Sheriff Frank J. Jagodinski have announced they are candidates for retention in the Gen- eral Election on Nov. 8. Dalessandro’s son, David, who is a student at the University of Scran- ton, will be the judge’s campaign chairman. Judge Dalessandro is completing his 12th year of service in Luzerne County and has presided in all divisions of the court. While presiding in Juvenile Court, he instituted numerous progressive procedures, including the holding of trials in the court house instead of in the juvenile center. In 1979, Judge Dalessandro iniated the first Juvenile Court Day in Luzerne Ceunty, and held a mock juvenile trial. As Juvenile Judge, he ordered community service for juvenile delinquents and stressed that juve- niles must make restitution.
