Magazine available The October issue of PTA Today, National PTA’s magazine, offers some sound advice to both parents and teachers. Child drug and alcohol abuse are a major concern of parents today. In order to help parents better understand why children use drugs and alcohol, and what they can do to protect their children from the dangers of both, the National PTA launched a nationwide Drug and Alcohol Project in August of 1983. The October issue of PTA Today contains a special section on the drug and alcohol problem - a must for parental reading. Copies of the October issue of PTA Today are available for $1.00 each by sending a check or money order (made payable to National PTA) to National PTA, 700 North Rush Street, Chicago, Illinois 60611 (312) 787-0977.
