Dallas, has completed
recruit training at the
Naval Training Center,
Great Lakes, Ill.
During the eight-week
training cycle, trainees
studied general military
subjects designed to pre-
pare them for further aca-
demic and on-the-job train-
ing in one of the Navy’s 85
basic occupational fields.
Included in their studies
were seamanship, close
order drill, Naval history
and first aid. Pesonnel
who complete this’ course
of instruction are eligible
credit in physical educa-
tion and hygiene.

intra-company communi-
cations equipment.

Wasnick will open his office

Dr. Wasnick is a 1966
aduate of Wyoming Sem-
inary. He graduated Magna
Cum Laude from the Univer-
sity of Scranton, where he
was the recipient of a special
award for distinction in
biology. He was also in-
ducted into Alpha Sigma Nu,
the National Jesuit Honor
Society. He graduated from
Jefferson Medical College in
1974, and completed three
years of General Surgery
training at St. Vincent's
Hospital in New York City.
Urology residency was com-
leted at State University of
ew York, Downstate Medi-
cal Center in Brooklya, New
York.
He was awarded the
Bowen-Brooks Fellowship
by the New York Academy
of Medicine, and the stipend
permitted fellowship train-
ing in a foreign country. He
pursued a fellowship in
ediatric urology at Alder
oy Children’s Hospital in
Liverpool, England, under
James Herbert Johnston,
.B.,F.RCS.
He has published several
articles in the field of
pediatric urology. He was
awarded second prize for a
presentation at the national
American Urological Associ-
ation meeting in Las Vegas

versary last week. The were married Aug. 12, 1950 in St.
Therese’s Church, Shavertown by the late Rev. J.J.

The Wallaces are the parents of six children, Donald,
Robert, Yonkers, N.Y.; Thomas, Wilmington, Del.;
Mary Theresa, N.Y.; Barbara, Cincinnati, Ohio and
Carol at home. :

MR. AND MRS. JAMES BLINN, Dallas, announce the
birth of a daughter, Kelly Juli Ann on July 13.
Mrs. Blinn is the former Christine Lee Werner,
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Werner of Trucksville.
Maternal great-grandmothers are Mrs. Mary Hadley,
Trucksville and Mrs. Florence Moresi, Dallas.
Mr. Blinn is the son of Margaret Blinn and the late
Roger Blinn of Carbondale. Mr. Blinn is an employee of
the state of Pennsylvania.
They also have a son, Sean, who is celebrating his
sixth birthday today and a daughter, Samantha, who
celebrated her third birthday July 17.
Kelly will be baptized in late August at Gate of
Heaven Church; Dallas. :

Cosletts honored
The Senior Citizens of the Meadows Apartments
honored Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coslett at the coffee hour
on. Aug. 5, in observation of their 60th wedding
anniversary.
The couple was married Aug. 6, 1923 in Bethesda
Congregational Church, Edwardsville, by the late Rev.
R.J. Reese.
Mrs. Coslett is the former Edith Phebey of East End.
Mrs. Coslett was presented with a corsage and Mr.
Coslett a boutonniere by Meadows residents. They also
received a citation from the Pennsylvania House of
Representatives in honor of the occasion.
The Meadowlarks sang several selections in honor of
the anniversary couple.
Mr. and Mrs. Coslett had three beautifully decorated
special day.
The Meadows .is a housing project for the Elderly
sponsored by The Ecumenical Enterprises Inc.
