The Kosters have been residents of the Laceyville parea since 1966 and pursue their hobby of painting with Members of The Oldest House Historical Society invite the public to attend the Art Show. Theater SHAWNEE PLAYHOUSE is presenting, ‘‘Camelot” through Sept. 24. “Camelot” is the Lerner and Lowe musical version of the legend of King Arthur based on T.H. White's “The Once and Future King”. A COOPERATIVE VACATION CHURCH SCHOOL will be held Aug. 15-19 in the Shavertown United Methodist Church. Classes will begin at 9:15 am. and conclude at 12 noon each day. A closing night ‘program for the children and their parents will be held Friday evening, August 19 at 7 p.m. in the host church. David Long, student intern minister, serving this summer at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Shavertown, is coordinator of the school, assisted by Mrs. Barry West of the host church. The school is sponsored by the Prince of Peace Episcopal and the United Methodist Church of Dallas along with St. Paul’s Lutheran and the United Methodist Church of Shavertown. A staff of 20 teachers, assisted by 12 other persons in music, recreation, refreshments, administration and safety, will serve in the program The theme for the school will be, “Celebrating the Seasons of the Son,’ with emphasis on the life and ministry of Jesus and the birth of His church as seen hrough the seasons of the christian church year. Flea Markets THE KINGSTON TOWNSHIP LIONS CLUB will hold its annual flea market July 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and July 24 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Howard Isaacs car lot, Memorial Highway, Trucksville. A large selection of new and used items will be featured both days. A bake sale will be held Saturday. Proceeds from this annual event support many Lions products in Kingston Township and through the Wyo- ming Valley. - The club is soliciting items for its flea market and asks area residents to donate saleable articles. ANNUAL FESTIVAL will be held Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 28, 29 and 30, on the fire company. Thursday evening’s feature will be a chicken barbecue from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are available from any fireman, or at the door. Takeouts will be available. Following the chicken barbecue, there will be live music by “Abilene” from 8-11 p.m. Friday’s activities get underway at 6 p.m. with plenty of homecooked foods, clams, shrimp and games. The group “Country Memories” will play from 8 p.m. to midnight. The annual Firemen’s parade will get under- way Friday at 7 p.m. with line-up at the Commonwealth Telephone Company building.
