They were Wed on July 29, 1944 at St. Mary’s Church in Swoyersville by the late Rev. Joseph Buda. Mrs. Olejnik is the former Mary Dusa, daughter of the late George and Rose Dusa of Swoyersville. Mr. Olejnik is the son of the late John and Susan Olejnik of Swoyersville. Their attendants were Nate Dusa and Susan Olejnik Fetchko, the late Joseph Dolchak and Rose Baron. Helen Budash McNarrow was Flower girl and Dorothy Gavlick Yurkoski was the ring bearer. The Olejniks are the parents of five children, John Jr., Swoyersville, employed by Bechtel in Berwick; Mrs. Rosemarie Bildeau, a registered Nurse at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, Pa.; Gerald, of Bear Creek, employed at Llewllyn-McKane Printers in Wilkes Barre; Mrs. Elizabeth Remakus, of Swoyersville, employed at Nabisco Brands in Wilkes Barre; and Mrs. Kathy Hannon of De Kalb, Illinois. They also have seven grandchildren, John III, Michael Olejnik, William and Robert Bilodeau, Daniel Rene Olenjik, Matthew Vincent Hannon.
