The ceremony was held at the country estate of the bride and groom, with a private ceremony attended by the immediate family. Mr. and Mrs. William Nathan Smith Smiths Celebrate 35th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. William Nathan Smith of Orange celebrated their 35th wed- ding anniversary on May 26. The couple has three children, William, Carver- fon; Sharon Hartshorne, Orange: and James, Mr. and Mrs. John Stredny were the attend- ants. Couple Notes Eighth Mr. and Mrs. John Szezucki, Jr., Edwards- ville, celebrated their eighth wedding anniver- sary on May 31: They were married in 1975 at the Dor- ranceton United Methodist Church in Kingston by the Rev. Mrs. Smith is the former Gloria Neff of Pittston. She is a Licensed Practi- cal Nurse, employed at the Leader Nursing Center, Kingston. The couple celebrated their anniversary with a family gathering and a vacation trip. Mrs. Slaby is a charter member of the Council, was active in its formation and served on the execu- tive board. In her capacity as Publicity Chairperson, she has been responsible for publicizing meetings in the newspaper, on radio and on television. Recently, she was active in bringing to the public’s attention the proposed cur- riculum requirement changes being considered by the Pennsylvania State Board of Education. She arranged for Dr. Jack Cas- sidy, immediate past pres- ident of the International Reading Association, to give a presentation and to answer telephoned ques- tions on the Andy Thomas Show prior to his lecture on May 18 to council mem- bers and guests.
