Guest speakers for the day were Charles Spitale from the Valley Automobile Club and Cor- poral Pat Higgins, Safety Education Officer, Troop P, Wyoming Barracks. Mr. Spitale gave a talk about safety and the importance of mainte- nance. He urged the stu- Safety dents to take care of their tires and brakes and to keep all moving parts well oiled. Cpl. Higgins spoke on rules and regulations. He explained the new law stating that bike riders can be fined for not obey- ing the rules. He also said bike riders can be held responsible if they cause an accident. A banquet honoring the Dallas Band was spon- sored by the Dallas Band Boosters on May 13 at the senior high school. Remarks and recogni- tions were given by Lor- raine Del Gaudio, past president. Mr. David Benn, senior high school director, presented school letters to all ‘senior band members.
