Thursday, my son Billy
and I attended the
Mother’s Day Tea at Trin-
ity Nursery School. What a
lovely time we had. The
program. began with the
pledge to the flag followed
by a rendition of God Bless
America by the students
and parents. Somehow,
there’s nothing quite like
the sound of three and four
year olds singing.
Following several addi-
tional songs by the chil-
dren, a delicious lunch of
party sandwiches on pastel
bread, potato chips, cook-
ies, mints and punch was
served. The tables were
decorated with placemats
and teapot Mother’s Day
cards made by the chil-
dren. Each mother
received a begonia to take
home. Special thanks to
Mrs. Audrey Lockhart,
Mrs. Nancy Odell, Mrs.
Nancy Higgins and Mrs.
Sally Dodson for delightful
tea.

Last Saturday was quite
a day for my family. My
sister Nancy was married
to Gary Pesavento at a
lovely ceremony per-
formed by Pastor Lynn
Rothrock at St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church. Need-
less to say, the bride was
absolutely beautiful, the
groom handsome and the
attendants, including (all
my family, Nicole and
Nancy, junior brides-
maids, Billy, ring bearer,
Bill, usher, and myself
matron of honor) were
delighted to be a special
part of the day. Best
wishes for much happiness
Nancy and Gary!

At Leader Nursing and Rehabili-
tation Centers, we take as much
care and interest in the devel-
opment of our nurses and staff
as we do of our patients.
Through continuous training
and motivation, our staff has
the opportunity to advance
through college-level courses,
on-the-job training, and on per-
formance. And we pay their tui-
tion. At any given time, close to
60 percent of the Leader staff is
enrolled in such courses as:
Pharmacy, Physical Therapy,
Geriatric Care, Anatomy and
Physiology, and Restorative
Services.
Because this unique educa-
tional program continually im-
proves the quality of our staff,
we are able to offer the highest
quality healthcare to our
patients.
Which is why we've earned
the right to say... We're more
than just another nursing home.
Much more.
