The Elia Moore Class of the East Dallas United
Methodist Church will sponsor a rummage sale on April
28 and 29 at the church. Hours on Thursday are from 9

' Festival of Music
Members of the award-winning Lake-Lehman High
School Band are anxiously preparing for their annual
competition trip to the ‘‘Festival of Music” in Ocean
City, Md., on April 28, 29, 30 and May 1. The band will
compete in concert, field show, outdoor guard and
parade contests. A booster bus will accompany the band.

Rummage Sale
Rummage sale sponsored by the Jackson United
Methodist Women will be held at the Jackson UM.
Church, Smith Pond Rd. on Friday and Saturday, April
29 and 30, starting at 9:30 a.m. Refresh; ments and baked
goods will be for sale. Bag day is Saturday.
Flea Market
Lehman Ladies Auxiliary will hold a flea market, April
30 at Lehman Fire Hall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Table space is available for $5 a table. Judy Gunn 675-

rental space.
Spaghetti Dinner
The annual spaghetti dinner sposnored by the Dallas
American Legion Post 672 will be held on April 30 at the
Post Home.
Serving will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Music by the “Odds and
Ends” will start at 9 p.m.
Tickets are $3.50 and may be purchased at the post
home, from legion memgers or at the door.
Committee members are Bill Motyka, chairman; Ed
Buckley, tickets; Al and Marie Ciccarelli, food; Harold
Brobst, salad bar; Ellie Webb, Linda Madar, Joan
Sokash and Gail Gimble, chances.
Bake Sale
Dallas Band Parents will sponsor a Bake Sale,
beginning at 9 a.m., Saturday, April 30 at the I.G.A.
Market in the Dallas Shopping Center.
Distant Thunder
A Distant Thunder, a Mark IV Pictures Incorporated
production, second in a series on Bible prophecy, will be
presented on Sunday, May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Mooretown
Assembly of God Church, RD 1, Sweet Valley.
A Distant Thjunder, a 78 minute color film is a sequel
to Mark IV Pictures’ release, A Thief in the Night, shown
on April 24. It beins where A Thief in the Night ended.
The film answers many of the questions raised by other
recent motion pictures. Events foretold in the Bible as
part of the Great Tribulation are vividly portrayed in A
Distant Thunder. You will remember this film as long as
you live..perhaps forever! The public is invited to attend.
Childbirth Classes
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital will begin its third series
of prepared childbirth classes on Monday, May 2.
The seven-week course is held each Monday from 7 to 9
p.m. and is taught by registered nurses from the ob-
stetrics and pediatrics departments.
Interested persons can contact Wilkes-Barre General
pageant will be held during the Northeastern Pa. Home
and Modern Living Fair at the Kingston Armory, May 11-
15. The fair is being sponsored by Consulting Sales
Analysts of Kingston. There is not talent required. Any
girls interested in entering this pageant please call 288-
9247, Monday - Friday, 9-5, or write to Pageant Head-

Kingston, Pa. 18704. Deadline for applicants is May 2.
Dallas Band Parents
Dallas Band Parents monthly meeting will be held on
Tuesday, May 3 in the senior high band room, 7:30 p.m.
for all senior and junior high band parents.

Franklin = and Northmoreland Twp. Ambulance
Association will hold its annual meeting on May 3, at the
Froklin Twp. Fire Hall at 8 p.m.

Ski Club
The Wyoming Valley Ski Club will hold its general
monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 3 at Gus Genetti
Motor Inn, Wilkes-Barre at 8:15 p.m.
