Yes, I was at the Magee Publick House for lunch. How was the food? Very good. How was the ser- vice? Very good. What was I doing there? Well, I was dining with my buddies, Mrs. Denmon, Dr. Cathy Sawyna and Estella Parker. While there we saw a lot of Back Mountain folks enjoying the atmosphere. Do your- self a favor and try it. (It’s the old Lodge at Newberry). I'm trying to say ‘‘Hi” to a lady at Lake-Lehman High but her name is a mystery. All I know is that she asked my sister if we were related and in- formed my sister that she looks forward to these words. So, to the mysterly lady who keeps the halls of the school glowing, “Hello”. Al Shaffer, you're having trouble ‘spotting me these days. I keep waving to you in my new limo, but it seems you The G.F.W.C. The queen of England didn’t have it so good. I was a stand-by for this flight; someone board last Monday. Well, it was up, up and away! Off to New York for a little while and then back to Avoca. What a way to spend a Monday! Any- how, if you need to get to New York in a hurry (45 minutes), this is your mode of transportation. The flight was so smooth I could barely tell when we took off and Purely heaven! John Kurchik, a Dallas native, tells me the ski slopes are still open and you’d be surprised how much snow is still on them. I didn’t get to the slopes once this year, but maybe... Joey Alles is passing me on the roads these days. Seems like when you drive a 4-cyclinder, almost everything else seems to buzz by. Any- way, I did notice Joey passing and all I can say is, he may have an eagle, but I’m getting good gas mileage (for a change). Joannie (Williams) Crispell how are you doing? I don’t know why, but I was thinking about you the other day. Just thought I'd say “Hi”. I spent a pleasant lunch with ‘some of my old school buddies, Sue Burk and Leza Cochran. Leza had a few photos from way back. Let me tell you, some people laugh, we really had one of the best lunches ever! Leza also had some Penn State photos from the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. They sure know how to have a good time. Holly Haverick, I don’t “hello” but I did see you often. Holly is a senior at College Misericordia, majoring in fashion merchandising. From what I see,” Holly really knows and enjoys her stuff and I think she is going to do well. Best of luck, Holly. It's not easy keeping a busy social calendar. But who says mine's busy? Well, it’s off to the bowling alleys -- see you around! ROBERT & ROBIN BUNNY CAKES Serves 10 to 12 sentiments.
