truck was struck on
Ransom Road by a utility
truck driven by Bradley
Bielecki, 19, RD 5,
Shavertown. Bielecki
allegedly was traveling on
Ransom Road on Friday,
March 4at10 a.m. and the
truck drifted onto the
center line in the road. He
narrowly missed colliding
with the Miers’ vehicle,
went out of control and
stuck a telephone pole,
shearing it at the base.
Upon arriving’ at the
sence, Chief Miers called
both Kingston Township
and State: ‘Police” at
Wyoming: In all incidents
involving their own
personnel, it is State
Police policy to be called.
In many cases they in-
vestigate in person. In
this instance, however,
because of the minor
nature of the accident and
the fact that their car was
busy elsewhere, State
Police did not come out.
No one was injured, but
Bielecki’s truck was
badly damaged. He said
the truck belonged to
Jerry Brown, a friend.
Bielecki noted he was
carting manure to a farm
in Jackson Twp. when the
mishap occurred.
Miers was returning to
his home in at RD 1,
Pittston.
