Slo-Pitch League
The Back Mountain Slo-Pitch Softball League will hold
fan important meeting Thursday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m. at Lake-
Noxen Elementary School, Harveys Lake. All teams
must be represented at this meeting. Any changes to be
made for this coming year will be discussed at the
meeting. Any new teams wishing to join the League are
urged to attend.
Booster Club meets
Lake-Lehman Booster Club will meet Thursday, Feb.
17, 8 p.m. at Castle Inn, Dallas. Everyone is invited to
attend.
‘Life with Father’
Members of the Wyoming Seminary student body and
faculty will perform the play, ‘‘Life With Father’’ based
on the book series by Clarence Day, Friday, Feb. 18, and
Saturday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. in the Buckingham Per-
forming Arts Center, Sprague Avenue, Kingston. Tickets
may be purchased at the door for $1.50 or in advance at
the Student Activities Office, 288-3003, for $i.
~ Coin show
Wyoming Valley Coin Club will sponsor a coin show
and exhibit Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 19 and 20 at
Arena Motor Inn, Wilkes-Barre, intersection of Routes
309 an 315, Kidder Street. The show will open Saturday at
10 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m. On Sunday the show will
open at 10 a.m: and close at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
Free hourly door prizes will be awarded. The public is
invited to trade, buy and sell coins. All attending will
receive a wooden nickel depicting ‘Franklin D.

Little League registration
The Bob Horlacher Memorial Little League Inc. will
hold registration Feb. 19 between 3 and 5 p.m. at these
locations: Noxen--Old Noxen School; Beaumont--
Beaumont School; Centermoreland--Methodist Church;
Falls--Falls Hose Co. and Orange--Franklim Twp. Fire
Hall, (at Orange, $5.00 donation per family).
Documentary film
Don’t miss ‘“God’s Prison Gang’ dramatic motion pic-
ture documentary, shown at the Mooretown Assembly of
God, Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. The public is invited to come and
see the dramatic change in the life of George Meyer, Al
Capone’s get-away driver and Floyd Hamilton, the last of
Bonnie and Clyde’s gang, when they received Christ as
their Lord and Saviour.
Roller skating party
There will be a Dallas Township PTO sponsored roller
skating party on Monday, Feb. 21, at Roller King in
Kingston, from 1-3:30 p.m.
Cross Cultural dialogue
Assistant Prof. Walter Halpine of the sociology depart-
ment at King’s College and Kenneth Burnett, consultant
and vice president of Minority Educational Develop
mental Culture Center, Wilkes-Barre, will conduct a
Cross Cultural Dialogue, Feb. 21, 7:30 p.m. at King’s
College. The cost is free. The program will begin with a
video tape session in the basement of East Hall, then con-
tinue in the Library Auditorium for a film presentation
‘dealing with the Kerner Report on Race Riots--Violence
in Cities. All citizens are invited.
D.P.F.L. meeting
Church members of Maple Grove United Methodist
Church of Pikes Creek, watch for D.P.F.L. meeting.
Music Box auditions
On Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 7-10 p.m., the Music Box will
conduct auditions for “Fiddler on the Roof.” A cast of 20
is needed including varying ages. ‘Fiddler on the Roof’
was originaly presented at the Music Box during its 1981
season and was a four week sell-out. Several of the
principals will be repeating their roles from this ac-
claimed production, but the majority of the roles are
open.
Performance dates are March 23-27, April 6-10 and
April 13-17. There is a possiblility that some special
performances might be added during Holy Week, should
all other performances sell out.
Auditionees must be at least 18 years of age. Everyone
will be expected to sing a prepared solo and learn a
simple dance routine from the Music Box choreographer.
An accompanist will be provided. Those persons selected
by the staff for possible speaking parts will also be asked
to read from the script. All roles are salaried.
For an audition appointment, call the box office at 283-
2195 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Eban to speak
The Hon. Abba Eban, Israeli diplomat, political leader
and distinguished scholar, will present a lecture entitled
‘Israel Today’ Wednesday, March 23, in the Wilkes
College Gymnasium, South Frankoin Street, Wilkes-
Barre. The lecture, which is free and open to the public,
is being co-sponsored by The Jewish Community Center
and Wilkes College.
Colwell Class meets
Colwell Class of the Dallas United Methodist Church
will meet Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. in the church
social room. Mrs. Sylvia Kuhnert and Mrs. Jean Goode
are on the refreshment committee.
Computer club
A new group is being formed by persons who own, use
or are interested in the Atari 400 of 800 Personal Com-
puters. The purpose is to educate and share information
concerning computers. More information may be ob-

Income tax help
Free assistance in the preparation of income tax
returns is available at the Wilkes College Annette Evans
Alumni House, South River Street, Wilkes-Barre,
Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Taxpayers interested in
the free service should bring W-2 forms, interest and
dividend statements and other tax related documents,
including copies of their 1981 tax returns to Alumni

spring schedule of classes.

FEES: Non-member--$15.00 Class. (By taking a class
one becomes an educational member of the Cultural

(BMCC Membership-$5.00 individual, $10.00 family, or
$25.00 patron. Members receive $12.00 class rates and
reduced program rates until Aug. 31. All fees must be
paid prior to first class.
LOCATIONS AND DATES: All classes will meet for a
six week period beginning March 8. There will be no
classes on Saturday, April 2. All classes will be held at
the Dallas Junior High School unless otherwise stated.
Students will not be notified to report to class. Contac t
will be made only if the class is filled or cancelled, in
which case a full refund will be made.
