Music Box auditions On Tuesday, Feb. 22, from 7-10 p.m., the Music Box will conduct auditions for “Fiddler on the Roof.” A cast of 20 is needed including varying ages. ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ was originaly presented at the Music Box during its 1981 season and was a four week sell-out. Several of the principals will be repeating their roles from this ac- claimed production, but the majority of the roles are open. Performance dates are March 23-27, April 6-10 and April 13-17. There is a possiblility that some special performances might be added during Holy Week, should all other performances sell out. Auditionees must be at least 18 years of age. Everyone will be expected to sing a prepared solo and learn a simple dance routine from the Music Box choreographer. An accompanist will be provided. Those persons selected by the staff for possible speaking parts will also be asked to read from the script. All roles are salaried.
