Residents of the Meadows Apartments, Lake Street, Dallas, honored two nonagenarians at their recent holiday party, which was catered by the Regency. Mrs. Stella Tinsley and Mrs. Catherine Levan- doski were honored guests and presentea with a special cake. Mrs. Stella Low Tinsley was born, Dec. 18, 1888, in Wiconoisco, near Harrisburg. She has two sons, four grandchildren and three great-grand- children. Mrs. Covaleski Catherine Levandoski was born Nov. 18, 1890, in Glen Lyon. She has three sons and three grand- children. Santa Claus surprised everyone by appearing with one of his elves and had candy canes for everyone. Dallas High School Chansonaires presented a program of unusual holiday music followed by the traditional carol singing. ,- Helen Parsons was chairman of the holiday dinner. She announced a New Year’s Party would be held under the chair- manship of Eleanor Montross. Miss Alice Ann Cooper, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Cooper, Shaver- town, has been selected from among hundreds of qualified applicants to participate as an entrant in the Miss Pennsylvania- USA Pageant to be held March 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Greensburg, Pa. A 1983 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School, Miss Cooper is a member of the senior chorus, president of the Y- Teen Club, health assistant class I and II, and the law enforcement class. Miss Cooper graduated from a local modeling school and participated in many area fashion shows. She was a hostess at the Music Box Dinner Theater and the 1982 Custom Car Show held in Kingston. She also has been photographed for various brochures and appeared as a cover girl for Counter Point Magazine. The Pittsburgh Modeling and Casting Agency has recently notified her that she will be appearing in national commericals. Alice will participate in this year’s pageant, which is the official preliminary to the Miss USA Pageant through the sole spon- sorship of Mary Taylor’s Hair and Skin Care Centers.
