® School. The seventh grade
boys won the first two
bouts of every meet ex-
cept one for the entire
season. They set the team
off to a very good start
with each meet. Most” of

Carey Falcone, the 75-
pounder, went through the
season with a perfect 17-0
record, including a first
place win in the Back
Mountain Club tourna-
ment.
Billy Mathers, the 80-
pounder, completed the
season with a 17-1 record

including a District I1 title
and, most recently, a first
place win in the highly
rated Frank Walp tourna-
ment. He was the only
local boy to win first place
this year.
Dallas is looking for-
ward to many great
seasons. of wins and
honors from these two
fine wrestlers.

team at Luzerne County
Community College of-
ficially opened the 1982
campaign this past week
.by holding ‘‘spring
training’’ practices on the
college’s parking lot in
Nanticoke.
Despite the un-
cooperative weathermen,
coach Al Cihocki’s
Minutemen braved the
inclement circumstances
of this past week: in order
to get an early season
edge on this year’s
Eastern Pennsylvania
Community ~~ College
Athletic Conference
(EPCCAC) opponents.
“We're out here
fident about the upcoming
season -- and well he
should be considering the
talent laden roster he now
holds.
“I've lost a number of
key players,” (losing two
starting pitchers, an All-
Conference shortstop, and
the team’s leading hitter)
Cihocki admitted, “But I
feel I have a number of
quality athletes who can
step right in and do the
job.” Topping the list of
this year’s hopefuls are
Wilkes College transfers
George ' Hall, ' Wilkes-
Barre; Jim Michaels,
Dallas; and Mark
All three players
contributed as freshmen
under former coach Dave
Kaschak before opting to
Michaels, a durable,
right-handed pitcher out
of Lake-Lehman and
Belinski, a hard-hitting
outfielder spawned from
the Wyoming Valley West
diamond, are also ex-
pected to add to LCCC’s
strength. .
In addition, Dave Janus
out of Plains, and Mike
