The Lynx picked up three from the Aries aided by W. Rauch’s 202 and F. Rauch’s 188. The Firebirds dropped two and a half points to the Capris led by L. Stallard’s 510. M. Fondo spilled pins for 194-171 (533) to lead Fashion Vending to three points from G.H. Harris in the Country League. Team mate K. Scavone scattered pins for 188 and P. Gordon tumbled them for 172. M. Culver rolled 189 (503) and L. Thomas hit pins for 179-174 (522) for the Harris girls. M. Shepherd added 477. A. Hospodar knocked down pins for 196 (497) to aid Grotto Pizza in earning two and a half points from Daring’s Market. High for the grocer’s team were T. Langdon 179 (491), E. Nulton 183 and J. S. East Dallas took all from Orange A whose D. Shupp rolled 538 and H. Shupp added 520. Trucks- ville B shut out the Lutherans paced by K. Spencer, Sr.’s big 238-211 (568). Ted Wilson led the losing five - with 527. T. Metz hit 218 (555) to aid Carverton B in taking three from Dallas A whose B. Williams put up 535. J. Despite the un- cooperative weathermen, coach Al Cihocki’s Minutemen braved the inclement circumstances of this past week: in order to get an early season edge on this year’s Eastern Pennsylvania Community ~~ College Athletic Conference (EPCCAC) opponents. “We're out here fident about the upcoming season -- and well he should be considering the talent laden roster he now holds. “I've lost a number of key players,” (losing two starting pitchers, an All- Conference shortstop, and the team’s leading hitter) Cihocki admitted, “But I feel I have a number of quality athletes who can step right in and do the job.” Topping the list of this year’s hopefuls are Wilkes College transfers George ' Hall, ' Wilkes- Barre; Jim Michaels, Dallas; and Mark All three players contributed as freshmen under former coach Dave Kaschak before opting to Michaels, a durable, right-handed pitcher out of Lake-Lehman and Belinski, a hard-hitting outfielder spawned from the Wyoming Valley West diamond, are also ex- pected to add to LCCC’s strength. .
