That will be shortly after I graduate,’ said this week’s In the Spotlight student at Lake- Lehman High School. Bonnie Forster, senior in the college prep program at Lake-Lehman High School, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Forster of Harveys Lake. She has two sisters and two brothers, all younger than she. Bonnie attended Coughlin High School until last year when her family moved to the Back Mountain. She has ad- justed very well to the transfer and takes an ac- tive part in the high school’s activities. She is a member of the student council, the high school chorus, Y-Teens, and this year, was a member of the home- coming court. Last year, Bonnie was in the junior class play and also in chorus. When at Coughlin, she went out for track and was in the chorus. She works part time at the Ranch Wagon so doesn’t find a lot of leisure time for activities. Al- though Bonnie is very much involved in her church, the Glory Barn, at Orange. Until last year, Bonnie was a member of 4-H, a group in which she had been involved for many years. She enjoys swimming, walking and softball. Bonnie also enjoys listening to music but she has no special favorites. “I like the Back Mountain becuase it is rural and much cleaner than in the city. The school is better because everyone knows one another and the teachers are ‘‘super’. You get to each of them as a friend. “Coughlin was so big that we never knew all of the students. “I like YokeLohmian but I believe it would be better if we had nutrition breaks every morning as well as every afternoon. They do a lot for the students.” Scott F. Slocum, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce F. Slocum, 290 Machell Ave., Dallas, recently graduated from Bloomsburg State College with a masters degree in Business Administration. Sylvania in Montoursville, ‘as a production supervisor. Hoar sem as Met The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Murphy of Dallas, Kathy Murphy is a senior at Dallas Senior High School. A student in the high school’s college prep program, Kathy is this week’s In the Spot- light student. Kathy plans to attend Penn State’s Main Campus after she grad- uates from high school but not during the 1981-82 academic year. Immediately following graduation in June, she plans to work and possibly live in Florida. When Kathy does enter college, she plans to major in communica- tions, somewhat of a natural choice since her mother did publicity for the local campus at one the editorial staff of the Dallas Post. Kathy's father also works closely with communications since he is dean of students at the Wilkes- Barre Campus. With her parents and sisters, Kathy has been to most of the United States and also to Canada. In 1976, the Murphy’s camped while traveling across the United States. Kathy enjoys reading just about everything. She also likes to cook. She teachers,” ‘said: Kathy, ‘But they also are nice people. The academic program is excellent but I wish they had more classes in journalism and communications. “I also believe that seniors should be allowed to leave school early rather than sit in study halls. I believe the students could use that time working or for some- thing better than wasting time fooling around in a room.” The annual meeting of the Back Mountain Memorial Library Association will be held on Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. in the library annex.
