Kingston Twp. Bobcats A, B, and C teams were victorious over the North- west Eagles on Sunday. Bobcats C team defeated the Eagles 14-0. Touch- downs were made by Steven Shotwell and Jonathan Wagner. Extra points were scored by Steve Mathers. Standouts on defense for the Bobcats were Billy Schidle, Rickey Davenport, Dan Luke and Chris Weatherill. Bobcats B team put forth a team effort in downing the Eagles 28-6. Bobcats got off to a tremendous start on the first play from scrim- mage when Billy Mathers went off left tackle going 50 yds. for the score. Try for the extra point failed. On the Bobcat's next possession Brian Maseychick broke off right tackle going 46 yds. for a touchdown. At the start of the fourth quarter, Bobcats got rolling again when Brian Maseychick swept right side behind good blocking going 18 yards for the score. Extra points were scored with a quarterback sneak by Dick Connelly making the score 22:6 Bobcats. Trying to get on the score board again, the Eagles began passing. Playing for a pass on defense, Tom Feeney intercepted and ran in for the score. Try for the extra point failed. Playing exceptional defense for bobcats were Marty Kriner, Lou Kaskey, Bryan Mathers, Bobby Shotwell, Jerry Paxton, Joey Shandra, Chris Nulton, Paul Feeney and David Par- duski. The game ended 28-6 for the Bobcats. Bobcat A team com- pleted the sweep defeating the Eagles 6-0. Playing their 14 available players the Bobcats gave every ounce of energy in a hard playing defensive struggle, the Bobcat score came from an end sweep by Darin breining, who also played a great defensive game, along with John Dent, Rich Gdovin, Joe Giordano, Jeff Poorman, Pat McDermott, Lon Miller, Mark Whitesell, and Sam Barbose. The game ball was won by Jeff Hazur of Hunlock Creek. Bobcats will host Nanticoke Rams at the Dallas Senior High Field, Sunday, Sept. 21.
