epic pronl pemiiicing PAGE FOUR Financial records for this year’s Luzerne County Fair are the responsibility of the assistant treasurer of the Fall Fair Board--Glenda Pomrinke of Dallas--Back Mountain Jay-C-ette representative on the board. As financial chairman, Glenda is responsible for the recording of the fair’s income and expenses. She must make certain there is enough money on the ground each night in- cluding change for the stands where it might be needed. Glenda also will keep a daily accounting of the income from each of the areas involved with the fair such as income from commercial exhibits space, gate receipts, and certain stands. Each stand keeps its own records, then reports to Glenda, who -coordi- nates and keeps records for the entire four day event. Glenda became in- volved in the Fall Fair through the Jay-C-ettes ever since the Jay-C-ettes organized five years ago. An active member of the club, Glenda served as the first president of the Back Mountain Jay-C- ettes.and since that time served on the board, also served as external vice president and this year is a state director. She puts in her time in the Hobby, Arts and Crafts Tent, sponsored by the Jay-C-ettes, prior to the start of the fair. After that she is too busy as finance chairman. The former Glenda Williams of Dallas, she is married to Jon Pomrinke, this year’s chairman of the food stands at the fair. A member of the Jaycees, Jon was secretary for one year and also served as board The mother of three children, Dina, seventh grade student; Jon, III, second grade; and Melissa, kindergarten, Glenda has a busy schedule. But like most busy persons, the busier Glenda is the better she likes it. In addition to her in- volvement with Jay-C- ettes, Glenda operates a year-round day care nursery in her home. She has an average of nine children daily, some of them staying until 5 or 6 p.m. When it is necessary for her to be away from the house, she has a very qualified person, her mother-in-law, who sub- stitutes for her. An enthusiastic bowler and one time, secretary of a league, Glenda gave it up three years ago to return to school for a year. The Pomrinkes are e avid campers and spend as much time as possible family camping, usually at nearby campsites. A Dallas High School graduate, Glenda is well known in the Back Mountain area where she has a host of friends. A member of the American Red Cross, Wyoming Valley Chapter, Glenda is a CPR in- structor and conducts a series of classes for local LOVE, Debbie & Jane ' Olga & Tooties Kay & Marianne residents each year. She also enjoys sewing and does mending for herself and for others.
