Cited for scattering rubbish Harold E. Flack, 22, RD 5, Shavertown, was cited by Dallas Borough police on May 25 for throwing bottles out of a car window (scattering rubbish). Patrolman Jack Fowler was the investigating officer and the offense was Disorderly conduct citation Kevin Lavelle, 22, RD 2, Overbrook Road, Dallas, was cited Saturday, May 25, at 12:41 a.m. for disorderly conduct. Dallas Borough police report Lavelle was ob- served pulling flowers out of the ground in front of the bank on Main Street. Officers Sev Newberry and James Tupper investigated the incident. 4 vehicles vandalized Clyde Davis, III, High Point Acres, Dallas, reported to Dallas Borough police that four of his vehicles parked in his driveway were vandalized. Davis told police that on May 26 at approximately 11a.m., eggs were thrown at the car windows. Borough police are continuing the in- vestigation. One car accident Dallas Borough police report a one-car accident occurred May 24 at 6 a.m. Clifford E. Jones, 19, Norton Avenue, Dallas, was reportedly making a left turn off Machell Avenue on to Reservoir Road when he lost control of his 1972 Ford and hit some trees. No injuries were reported. Truck-cycle collision A truck and a motorcycle were involved in a two-car collision Friday, May 23, at 8:04 a.m. in Dallas Borough. ° lot while at the same time a cycle operated by Steven Schwartz, Windsor Drive, Dallas, was traveling on Route 415 in the passing lane. A collision resulted with Schwartz sustaining injuries to the neck and shoulder area. Schwartz was treated and released from Nesbitt Hospital according to Police Chief Lyons. Moderate damage was sustained ‘by both vehicles. Chain collision on Rte. 415 A three-vehicle chain reaction crash occurred May 23 at 5:39 p.m. on Route 415 in Dallas Borough. All direction. A car operated by Rosemary Saba, 55 Butler St., Kingston, slowed down to allow an unknown vehicle to turn into Caddie LaBar’s. The Saba vehicle was struck from behind by a car operated by Rachelle A. Hartman, 21, Harveys Lake, who also had slowed down. The Hartman vehicle was rear-ended by one vehicle operated by Joseph M. Yenason, 26, 315 Carverton Road, Trucksville. No major injuries were reparted. Cassette and tapes stolen John Jorda, Yeager Avenue, Dallas Township, reported the theft of an eight track tape cassette player and 48 tapes from his unlocked vehicle parked at his home. The incident occurred May 24. $1,683 burglary in township Weapons were among the items stolen during a burglary in Dallas Township, May 22 during the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the home of Leonard Padavin, 33 of Kunkle. Entry was made through a window. Stolen were eight pounds of ham valued at $24; two cokes 60 cents; one Winchester rifle and scope $375; 22 caliber revolver $60; one and one-half carat ‘man’s diamond ring $825; gold watch $250; and $149 in cash. Patrolman Doug Lamoreaux is investigating the burglary which netted the thief a total of $1,683.60 in cash, food and other items. Two car accident on Route 309 A spectacular two-car accident occurred May 24 at midnight in Dallas Township. A car operated by Daniel W. Kitchen, 18, of Lower Demunds Road, carrying a passenger, Mark Schultz, 17, of Kunkle, was traveling North on Route 309 in Dallas Township when the vehicle left the right side of the highway and in an attempt to gain control slid sideways. The Kitchen vehicle then crossed the northbound, southbound passing, and southbound lanes and went into a roll, resulting in both occupants being thrown from the vehicle. The car then went up an embankment, hitting a tree and a sign at Mason’s Villa. - The Kitchen vehicle exploded into flames and came to rest on top of an automobile owned by David A. Jones, 40, RD 2, Harveys Lake. Jones was not in the parked vehicle at the time but asleep in the back of the car was ‘Mike Soltishick, 35, Dallas, who escaped without injury. Both vehicles were totaled. Kitchen was admitted to Nesbitt Memorial Hospital and Schultz had visible signs of injury, according to the police report. Schultz left the scene of the accident in the company of his parents who arrived on the scene. Car hits cemetery rails Kingston Township police reported a one-car accident occurred May 26 at 4:25 p.m. on Route 309 near Pioneer Avenue and West Center Street, Shavertown. Police Chief Paul Sabol stated that Robert E. Major of Dallas, was forced from the roadway by another car and struck railings in front of St. Nicholas Cemetery. The youth did not sustain injury in the accident. Juveniles cited for drinking Five underage juveniles were cited for underage drinking on Memorial Day, May 26, by Officers Donald Gavigan, Walter Davis and Police Sgt. William Pugh. Four of the underage drinkers were nabbed in a car on Route 309 and the other while hitchhiking on Carverton Road.
