The new Certificate requires a minimum deposit of only $1000. We at wns think this Certificate is an excellent way for you to invest a relatively small amount of money and still receive substantial interest. Q. Is my investment insured? A. Money in a wiles 30-month Certifi- cate is insured up to $100,000 by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corpora- tion. : : Q. Is the interest rate significantly higher than that of a regular savings account? A. YES. The May 30-month Certifi- cates pay an impressive 10.50% inter- est. When compounded, this rate has an annual yield of 10.921%, based on a 365-day year. That's over twice as much interest as most regular savings accounts. The rate, however, may vary from month to month. Q. Does this mean once a Certificate is purchased its interest rate will change? A. NO. The interest rate at the time you purchase your Certificate is one that is guaranteed for the life of your Certificate. That's something many other kinds of investments can’t offer. Q. Are there any sales commissions or other charges? A. NO, none. You collect all the interest on your investment. Q. Can my money be withdrawn before maturity? A. YES. Of course, Federal law re- quires that Certificates redeemed be- fore maturity will be subject to a substantial penalty. This penalty will never be greater than 6-months’ interest. Q. How do I know the 30-month Certificate is right for me? A. The best way is to come in to any one of wnl's 10 offices and talk to one of our New Accounts Clerks.
