The former Jennie Jumper, she was born July 17, 1893, at Lee Park, daughter of ‘the late William and Ella Jumper. She was educated in Hanover Township schools and resided in the Back Mountain the past 59 years. Actively involved with the Back Mountain Memorial Library for 33 years, Mrs. Newman was well-known for her Newman Dolls which she gave to the library auc- tion.
